About Me

Well, I'm a twenty-seven, soon to be twenty-eight, year old who is still trying to find my place in this world.  I have gone to college, cosmetology school, and soon to be college again.  Life has thrown some curve balls at me.  I've had to rethink what I want to do, be, and everything in between.

I've been pushed and prodded into a mold that I'm not sure I want to fit in anymore.  So my likes and dislikes are all that define me.

1.  I can't live without music. From classic rock, Gaga, Kings Of Leon, Alkaline Trio, Anberlin, and Mat Kearney, I need music to breathe.
2. Books.  With movies and TV shows constantly regurgitating the same things I've already seen, reading is my relaxing release.  I'll blog about books almost as much as music. And thanks to my mom and stepdad for providing me with a Kindle for Christmas, reading is all I seem to do.
3. Old movies. Classics and 80's teen movies are my favorite.  I watch Breakfast at Tiffany's at least once a month.  John Hughes movies have a direct line to my core. 
4. I love food.  Not in a overeating way - ok sometimes over eating. I am a total foodie.  I love trying new restaurants and foods.  I have my favorites, but in a town full of locally owned restaurants and the prestigious Johnson & Wales Culinary School, there is always something new to try. 
5. Bubble baths are one of my favorite simple pleasure in the world.  
6. Clean bed linens are my favorite simple joy.
7. I love simplicity.  Simple things make my day.
8. I love love.  But I can't seem to find it.
9. My puppy is my favorite person on the Earth.  Granted she's six years old, she still has the heart of a puppy. And cuddling with her on the couch is almost as relaxing as a bubble bath.
10. I can find beauty in some really bad things, places, and people.  My grandmother taught me to always search for the good in people.  She was a gossip like most elderly ladies, but she still looked for the good.
11. I am a girl that enjoys football.  I live for Saturdays & WVU football.
12. I love photography, but sometimes it doesn't really come out great.
13. If I could live a life of philanthropy, I would do it at the drop of a hat. I support a handful of charities which mean a lot to me.  I hand pick them based on how they touch me personally.  I'll talk about them some.
14. I dislike a few things, but I'm too positive right now to list negative things.
