This may turn into a rant...

This evening I was drawing myself a bath in which to relax away my physical therapy pains. As I was just getting into the bath, my gorgeous Golden retriever Daisy comes bounding in and knocks both my iPhone and Kindle towards the water. I was able to grab my kindle quickly while my phone fell to the bottom of the bath tub. My kindle got slightly wet but seems to work fine. My iPhone however, has become Sybil. It has about 10 different minds and they are all ganging up on me and the hard drive. I have no sound at this point, the screen goes through a dimming phase where no matter what you do, there is no helping it. I used to work for AT&T and we told customers to put their phones in rice, take the battery of and low heat and gently use hair dryer. Well, I can't take my phone apart, so it's in a bag of brown rice to drawl out the moisture.

If this doesn't help. Well looks like I'll be getting a iPhone 4 or a Blackberry Torch. So undecided.

On another note, I will be partaking in a day of silence on April 25th. There is a new section on on the sidebar. I wanted to go more in depth, but tonight I just cannot rally through it. Take a look at the info already up, and read up on what I'll talk about on my next post. There are a few videos and stories told on the sight.

While there take a look at the store. From tees, purses( made by the Achooli women in Norther Uganda as their job through Invisible Children their group is called Mend), bracelets which tell a story (Blue is for Roseline = you get 2 bracelets, and one DVD about Roseline) There are over 5 bracelet/DVD packs. And each on tells the story from anothers eyes. The Rescue DVD shows so much. Ever dvd/bracelet combo has a clip of the dvd on their personal profile page.

I am going to go read and hope to fall asleep. Might have to put my Rescue and Roseline dvds in and watch.

Peace, Love & Down with the LRA!

What to do on a Sunday...

Ok, so I think I may actually have my sleep cycle back on track. How you say? Well, I ended up sleeping most of my Saturday. Woke up Saturday at 6AM and wanted more sleep, then again at 8AM. I didn't wake up again until 5PM. Really. How does that happen? Not sleeping at all is how that happens. I did, however, wake up at 4AM today. I may crash out early, but I'm not feeling too tired yet.

But what does one do when they wake up at 4AM on Sunday and they don't wanna get out of bed yet. Cuddle with your furry babies is what.

After finally pulling myself out of the comfiness that is my fluffy bed, I got breakfast and settled into watch a little Sunday morning TV. And I could find nothing but NASCAR.

I used to be a HUGE racing fan. I lived for Sunday races and trips to my now hometown to see one of the three races per season. Now, it's kind of a nuisance. I live directly across the street from a race shop. I know multitudes of people who work in the sport; including my own cousin. My chiropractor works on drivers and crew members, her husband is an engineer for a team, and her business parter is a driver's wife. My physical therapist works for teams, and her husband is a jackman. And that's just three people in my life. I'm surrounded by the sport and it just doesn't hold the 'aw' and glitz anymore for me. The predictability and one or two drivers winning constantly has cheapened the sport. Last year was the first year since living in Charlotte that I did not go to a race.

So what did I end up watching? RaceDay and now the race. Why? Because it's hard to turn your back on something that was a huge part of your life. And it's running in the background as I clean and do laundry today. Reason, it's the 10th anniversary of the loss of Dale Earnhardt. I was devastated on Feb. 18th, 2001. So today, I'm watching for all the tributes for him. Like the 3rd lap of silence. Daytona was silent all but the cars racing around the track and almost everyone held up a hand with 3 fingers. Three is still my favorite number.

It is a beautiful day in the Carolinas and I may take Miss Daisy to the dog park for a romp later. My apartment complex has yet to put in our complex dog park they promised 4 months ago.

Could baseball season come any faster? I need the Red Sox in my life.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Peace, love & loud cars!

Ok, so I am horrible...

I didn't even make it 8 hours on that stupid cleanse. Every time I started to think about having to drink those HORRIBLE protein and vitamin shakes, I would gag and almost make myself sick. So I switched it up, and I'll get whey protein shake mix and make my own fresh fruit shakes and eat fruits and veggies. Like I said before, not a meat person at all.

I lost 4 lbs in two days!! Woohoo! Yup. Can't complain about that!
